Tsipras on visit to Kalymnos

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Wednesday visited the island of Kalymnos in the southeastern Aegean.
During the visit, the prime minister attended a meeting with the island's mayor Ioannis Galouzis and other local officials. Tsipras reiterated that the government is close to the islanders that are fighting to cover their everyday needs.
He also said that Greece may have come through an adventure but is now more optimistic.
Later he will inaugurate the Naval Academy on the island.
Tsipras is accompanied by Defence Minister Panos Kammenos, Maritime and Insular Policy Minister Fotis Kouvelis and Alternate Minister of Maritime and Insular Policy Nektarios Santorinios.
