Six year old Greek youngest person to appear at Carnegie Hall
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Stelios Kerasidis, the six-year-old Greek boy, has become the youngest musician ever to be on stage at Carnegie Hall in New York!
Stelios was born in June 2012 in Athens where he lives with his parents and his two sisters Veronica and Anastasia.
He is a communicative, extroverted, cheerful but very lively child who enjoys playing with his toys, making things out of "LEGO" bricks, traveling by plane, cycling, going to the cinema, swimming in the sea and of course playing and listening to music.
He especially loves Mathematics in which he seems to have a particular inclination. This year in September he went to school for the first time.
He says that when he grows up he wants to become a pianist!
Stelios Kerasidis could be described as a child savant. At the age of six he has played in the biggest theaters in Greece and in Europe.
His course in music is not accidental. Dad Fotis Kerasidis is a piano professor and soloist. He started playing piano from a very early age. He likes Bach very much, and Chopin and Beethoven.
On his highly successful and distinct journey, he has been aided significantly by the world-renowned soloist Agathi Lemonis.
Stelios has already performed recitals in important halls such as the
Royal Albert Hall in London, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Palazzo Leti
in Italy while playing together with the Symphony Orchestra of Athens
at just five years of age.
Congratulations to the six - year - old Greek Stylianos Kerasidis who
emerged as the youngest musician ever to play in Carnegie Hall, in New York!
Remember the name. Stelios Kerasidis. The little one will amaze us ... and he is just 6 years old.
