Turkish foreign minister warns of ‘accident’ in Aegean if Greece keeps provoking
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu welcomed the new year with yet another “friendly warning” against Greece following up on his counterpart’s Panos Kammenos’ comments.
Calling the Greek Foreign Minister’s comments as inflammatory blurting out that an “accident” could occur if such statements continue.
“Today, in the Aegean, we do not allow fait accomplis; and we send a warning to Greece: You have a spoiled child, that’s what they call their defense minister, saying we have a ‘spoiled child.’ Well, then, control your spoiled child, so that no accident occurs by our security forces,” Cavusoglu said.
“In reality, it’s just a friendly warning,” he added while giving a speech to Turkey’s gendarmerie and coast guard academy cadets.
