Tsipras in Constantinople, visits Hagia Sophia, Halki, and meets local Hellenes

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, who met yesterday with Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, on Wednesday was on a visit to Constantinople.
At 9.15 in the morning, the Prime Minister was given a tour of Hagia Sophia, shortly after 11.00 he will visit Halki where he will be guided through the Theological School (he is the first active prime minister of Greece to visit the seminary) and will meet with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
Last night, the Patriarch attended the dinner that Mr. Erdogan gave in honor of the Greek Prime Minister in Ankara, at the invitation of the Turkish President.
At 18.30 the Prime Minister will meet with representatives of the Greek community in the Sismanoglio Megaron, which houses the Greek Consulate of Constantinople.
