Kostas Tasoulas, new Parliament President with a record 283 votes

The new President of the House with 283 votes is Kostas Tasoulas. The 15 members of communist party KKE voted present and Efi Atsioglou and Dimitris Tzanakopoulos were absent.
The MP of Ioannina, Kostas Tasoulas, was elected with the most positive votes among all the previous presidential parliamentarians elected to the post.
To date, Zoe Konstantopoulou, who was elected in January 2015 with 235 votes, had the largest majority.
Kostas Tasoulas is the first President of the Hellenic Parliament to come from the constituency of Ioannina.
