Security at home, security in the city, security in the country, promises Chrisochoidis

"Where there is security, there is a guarantee of rights. Greece is not suffering from rights violations. It is suffering from security lack, so we will focus there," Minister of Citizen Protection Michalis Chrisochoidis said late on Sunday in the Parliament.
Referring to the targets in each sector, the Minister of Citizen Protection stated that the security of citizens will be safeguarded, with a constant fight against crime. There will be more effective border control and migration policy. There will also be effective, modern civil protection and modern crisis and disaster management. There will be a new modern criminal and punitive policy, with changes in prisoners' living conditions and with respect for human rights.
On the security sector, Chrisochosidis informed that DIAS police teams have already been reinforced with 500 police officers. "Every day the patrols are increasing and will increase even further," he said, adding that more than 500 police officers have already returned to the police departments."
