Parliament Speaker: Erdogan has already sent forces to Libya
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Parliament Speaker Kostas Tasoulas has expressed concern that Erdogan has already sent military aid to the Tripoli government.
Speaking on SKAI radio, Mr Tasoulas asked if he thought Erdogan would eventually send troops to Libya, saying: "I'm afraid he has already sent. Paramilitary organizations operate in Tripoli in support of the government," the Speaker said.
Tasoulas: Turkey is diplomatically isolated
At the same time, Mr. Tasoulas emphasized that the problem is that Erdogan "has exaggerated his stance and is trying in an almost threatening way to create givens in the East Africa region". The Speaker of Parliament also stressed that Athens' diplomatic moves have achieved "impressive diplomatic enclosure and isolation of Turkey" and added that Ankara's actions have been condemned by international entities and the states of the Eastern Mediterranean.
