- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Video footage from the operation of locating the only resident of Kinaros, Kyra Rinio, came to light on SKAI television.
In the video frames, a Super Puma helicopter is seen trying to reach the home of the 74-year-old woman in adverse weather. As shown in the video, the woman comes out of her house and tells the rescuers that everything is fine.
It should be recalled that for three days communication with her had been lost, so he family were worried. Eventually, as it turned out, due to the bad weather, the telephone connection was damaged so they could not locate her. Indeed, when rescuers told her to move her to a safe place in Rhodes until electricity and telecommunications damage on the island was restored, she refused.
