First coronavirus case in Greece found in Thessaloniki

The first case of coronavirus in Greece was confirmed in Thessaloniki.
A sample of a 38-year-old woman who had recently traveled to Italy tested positive for the coronavirus. She was in Thessaloniki and all those who came into contact with her in the last days were voluntarily isolated. This was announced at around noon by the Ministry of Health.
According to the head of the Infectious Diseases Department of Health Ministry Sotiris Tsiodras, the woman is hospitalized in a Thessaloniki hospital, is receiving antiviral treatment, is in good health and is being monitored by a team of specialist doctors.
Mr Tsiodras stressed to the coronavirus that it is still a mild disease and stressed the need to comply with hygiene rules.
