Open markets in Attica to operate as normal, federation says
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Greek open markets will operate as normal on Saturday (Feb. 29) and Clean Monday (March 2), the Attica region federation (POSPLA) announced on Thursday, to allow consumers to buy food supplies for the long weekend holiday preceding Lent.
As president of the federation Dimitris Moulatos noted, "In neighborhood open markets, consumers know they can feel confident about the freshness of all products they buy. Over the decades, at any rate, we have built a unique trusting relationship, because everyone knows the seller and the person behind the stand of the open market."
