After a two-day hiatus, tensions at the Greek-Turkish border near the Kastanies customs post in the Evros region resumed on Wednesday evening.
Over several hours, individuals standing at the Turkish side threw petrol bombs, stones and lit pieces of wood against Greek police, while attempts were also made to damage the wire fence there.
Meawhile, all attempts to enter Greek territory illegally were repelled, the Athens-Macedonian News Agency reported late on Wednesday evening.
