According to the coordinator of the Greek National Public Health Organization, professor of epidemiology Sotiris Tsiodras, 95 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the country with a total of 1061.
Of those hospitalized, 69 are intubated, with an average age of 66 years.
In its daily report and press Q & A, the Ministry of Health announced four more coronavirus deaths. The total death toll in the country is 32, with an average age of 73 years. Of the deaths, 25 are men and 7 women.
To date, more than 14,300 coronavirus tests have been performed in Greece. According to Sotiris Tsiodras, those who are hospitalized have an average hospital stay of 10 days.
Undersecretary of State for Civil Protection and Crisis Management Nikos Chardalias said new measures were being taken for airline connections. In particular, he emphasized that repatriation from three categories of persons would now be allowed:
a) Those in need of health care (valid or with a serious illness) with a medical certificate
b) Those who do not have a secure home (eg expiry of legal residence in a foreign country)
(c) Those in transit flight (with proof of ticket)
