Greece ranked 40th in the list of countries with confirmed coronavirus cases

With 1,061 confirmed cases until March 28, Greece is ranked 40th in the list of the countries with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 virus cases against the 32nd position it was ranked one week ago.
Greece has approximately 102 confirmed cases per one million population, double in comparison with last week, a rate that places Greece very low, in the 66th place against the 55th last Sunday 22 March and only 22nd among the EU countries. The global average of cases is approximately 85 per one million population.
Greece with 32 deaths, is in the 28th place worldwide in the number of victims from the 24th it was last week. Greece records roughly 3 deaths per one million population, which ranks it 33rd worldwide and 16th in EU. The global average is 4 deaths per million, so Greece is under the average rate.
At the top of the list with confirmed cases are USA with 123,750, Italy with 92,472, China with 81,439, Spain with 73,235 and Germany with 57,695.
In the list of deaths from COVID-19, Italy is ranked first with 10,023 deaths, followed by Spain with 5,982, China with 3,300, Iran with 2,517 and France with 2,314.
