Germany to accept fifty unaccompanied minor refugees from Greece

Fifty unaccompanied minor refugees staying in Greece will be received by Germany next week, as part of the European Commission's corresponding plan.
According to a statement from the German Interior Ministry, the issue is expected to close at tomorrow's meeting of the federal cabinet, following a decision by the government committee on March 8.
The movement of children will begin next week, the interior ministry said, noting that action is being taken as part of a "European solution" to the problem. The European Commission, in cooperation with the Greek government, the European Asylum Support Service (EASO), the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), UNICEF and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), has taken responsibility for coordinating the process.
Upon their arrival in Germany, the children will be quarantined for two weeks, as provided by the country's coronation measures, and will then be distributed to various states.
