Monica Bellucci: I would like to buy a house in Paros ...
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Movie star Monica Bellucci declares that she is in love with Greece and that she would not rule out the possibility of buying a house in Paros.
Monica Bellucci, who is preparing to present the play about Maria Callas at the Herodeion, spoke to Real Life and journalist Vassilis Bouziotis. A little earlier, in the summer, she had enjoyed the sun and the sea of the Cyclades, in Paros and Mykonos, but also her walks in Athens.
Q: What fascinates you in Greece, which you visit very often while vacationing in Paros? Is it true that you are thinking of buying a house there? Sounds like you already did…
Bellucci: I would love to, but no, I do not have it yet! I love Greece and it is very close to my culture. So when I'm here, all this Mediterranean mood comes out and I feel so familiar. I love Greece and I love Paros…
Q: You are currently here to present the play "Maria Callas, Letters and Memories" at the Herodion. As long as you leaned over the Callas phenomenon to "illuminate" her letters and her memories, what conclusion did you draw for her?
Bellucci: It was unique! Special. Exciting. An absolute diva, a creature full of life, which, however, had elements of an angel! And I am happy to "illuminate" hidden and unknown aspects of her life through these letters, based on the book of the same name by Tom Wolf, who is the director of the show and the recent film "Maria by Callas", in which he collected over 350 unpublished letters of Callas, written by her over 30 years.
