The app for issuing special, limited-time lockdown movement permits for non-essential shopping, via an sms to the five-digit number 13032, is ready for use when retail trade is reopened, Digital Governance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis said on Monday during a radio interview with Parapolitika FM.
"The tool is ready, there is a very strong possibility that it will be implemented in retail as discussed, but beyond that, we will see in due course whether and how it will be implemented," he said, noting that there must first be an assessment of the epidemiological curve in Attica and the rest of the country.
Regarding the vaccine roll out, Pierrakakis pointed out that "we have a system that works very well. This week we will exceed one million vaccines in first and second doses. We have managed to reach 30,000 vaccinations per day. The vaccine chain set up from scratch works perfectly. Our operational goal was, when vaccines arrive, that they should be administered in the best way."
