Tempi: Sakellaropoulou and Mitsotakis at the scene of the tragedy - Three days of national mourning

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and President Katerina Sakellaropoulou are visiting the scene of the train tragedy in Tempi, from which at least 38 people have lost their lives so far, while many are also injured in hospitals.
The President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, interrupted her official visit to Moldova and iss going to the scene of the tragedy in Tempi.
The prime minister is also visiting the scene of the tragic train accident in a short time. According to government sources, Mr. Mitsotakis was at Megaros Maximos all evening and was informed about the developments.
Three days of national mourning by decision of the prime minister
At the same time, by decision of the Prime Minister, a three-day national mourning is declared for the victims of the accident from March 1 to March 3, 2023, with flags flying at half-mast in all public buildings and suspension of public celebrations.
Both the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Kostas Karamanlis, and the Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, are going to Larissa together with the Prime Minister.
