Chinese woman dies at Lefkada after paraglider falls in the sea

A Chinese woman, 43, drowned when she fell into the sea as she was paragliding at Lefkada island on Monday.
The young woman had arrived with a group for holidays on the Ionian island and used a paraglider by herself on the western side of the island. Swimmers at Agios Nikitas saw the paraglider drop into the sea, and a vessel and a swimmer rushed to the site, as she had been pulled underwater. They had to spend time disentangling her from the ropes, and brought her to the surface.
At the beach they tried cardiopulmonary resuscitation on her and called an emergency ambulance (EKAV) that transported her to the Hospital of Lefkada, but doctors could not revive her.
