Amaliada infant deaths - Police affirm infants were dead before hospital arrivals
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The tragic chronicle of the deaths of the five infants that occurred in the presence of Irini Mourtzoukou is recorded in the relevant report prepared by the Hellenic Police.
The text does not provide information regarding the causes that led to the deaths of the infants, however, details of the investigations conducted by the Authorities are presented.
Specifically, it is reported that four of the five children were taken dead to the hospital and that the mother of the last child who died last August, while initially raising suspicions against Irini, later withdrew them.
“During the police officers’ stay at the hospital, an affidavit was taken from the mother of the minor, who raised suspicions against her friend, Irini Mourtzoukou, without mentioning specific events. (...) A total of six statements were received, one of which was supplementary to the mother's, who categorically denied what she had stated at the hospital regarding suspicions against her friend," it is characteristically noted.
