Justice rquests lifting of Golden Dawn MP immunity
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Prosecutors investigating the Golden Dawn Party case requested, today, that the Greek Parliament lift immunity for all Golden Dawn deputies, even those that have not yet been charged for involvement in a criminal organization.
Prosecutors plan to charge all remaining Golden Dawn Mps for participation in a criminal organization and to press fresh charged against those members that are already incarcerated.
If the Parliament decides to lift their immunity, the prosecutors will call all Party members to testify and will decide whether they should be held in custody or not.
Moreover, the prosecutors have also sent a fresh request for Golden Dawn Mps already charged and held in custody (Michaloliakos, Lagos, Boukouras, Germenis,Michos Kassidiaris). The prosecutors will press new charges against all of them, for possession of firearms and weapons, destined to be used by the criminal organization.
