- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos

A significant development in the thriller with the dead child in Paleo Faliro as the woman with the stroller in the videos, who is the child's mother, has been identified and arrested.
According to information, the woman and children who were allegedly in Greece illegally and lived in an apartment building behind the bus station on Liosion Street in Kato Patisia seem to be talking about an accident that happened to the child.
From a difficult conversation between the authorities and her, due to poor communication as the woman is Algerian and does not speak Greek at all, she seems to mention that an accident occurred.
Specifically, she allegedly claims that the child was sick and could not walk and that he fell in the bathroom and hit his head, while he then vomited.
What the Coast Guard estimates happened to the child
Examining the videos and the strange immobility of the child in the stroller, the coast guards do not rule out that the child was in a semi-conscious state, perhaps comatose, that she thought he had died and at that point, instead of notifying an ambulance, she went to sea to throw him away.
It is not even ruled out that the child was dead during his transport, however, the forensic doctors found that a small amount of water was sucked in along with sand, which is extremely unlikely to happen if the child was already dead.
The basic assessment of the Authorities is that the child was left alive in the water.
The Algerian woman lived alone with her three children in Kato Patisia
Regarding the family situation of the woman who is the mother of the unfortunate child who was found dead, shocking the entire country, she reportedly lived alone in the house in Kato Patisia with her three children. Her husband, Syros, has left the house while according to some reports he was allegedly violent.
The woman will officially give a statement to the Coast Guard who are conducting the preliminary investigation while Coast Guard men are already at her house for a search.
How the Coast Guard with the help of an Israeli tourist reached the woman
It is recalled that the woman was brought in today, by police, as the Coast Guard managed to locate her residence as early as last night. The investigation was guided by videos from the surrounding area and the controversial hours when the child was found dead.
In these videos, the woman was identified with her three children, one in a stroller. At 9 am, the child, who was allegedly wearing clothing that matched the swimsuit worn by the dead child, was in the stroller and suspiciously still. Five hours later, in the videos at approximately 3 am, the stroller was empty, the woman abandoned them at a stop and was left alone with her two children, with whom she got into a taxi and left.
The Coast Guard men, locating the previous passenger of the taxi, an Israeli tourist who entered a nearby hotel, managed to reach the taxi driver. The Israeli told them that he had taken the taxi from Ermou Square, so the Coast Guard went there, found him and he took them to the spot in Kato Patisia where he left the woman with the children. With her photo in hand and searching door to door, the authorities managed to locate the apartment building where the woman lives. This morning, when she went out with her two children, ELAS men arrested her. The woman has been transferred to the central Attica HQ - GADA where she said some things to the police but will be transferred to the Coast Guard for an official statement, as the Coast Guard is conducting the preliminary investigation.
The woman does not speak Greek at all, a translator is expected and according to information, she seems quite scared.
