A violent incident that occurred on the evening of September 8th in October 28th Square in Ilioupoli has caused unrest when six minors attacked a 17-year-old, beat him, took his belongings and recorded everything with their mobile phones.
The young man was surrounded by a group of his peers, who began to curse and threaten him for a reason unknown to date. Within a few minutes, they punched him and threw him to the ground, resulting in his injury. After beating him, they took everything he had on him. At the same time, some of them were filming, not only to keep a "souvenir", but also to upload the material on the Internet and brag about their achievement. The complaint was filed with the Police last night by the victim and his father. The authorities were immediately mobilized and within a few hours they managed to locate and arrest most of the perpetrators. Their parents were also arrested with them, as provided by the law for cases of minors involved in criminal acts.
A case file was filed against the young people with charges of robbery, insult, causing bodily harm and threatening. The case file has already been forwarded to the juvenile prosecutor. The case has caused intense concern among the residents of Ilioupoli, who speak of phenomena of juvenile violence that are increasing and, in fact, often end up becoming a "spectacle" on social media.
