Patras: 28 cats were found locked in a room, in the dark - Among the kittens was a cat skeleton
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Following a complaint and a prosecutor's order, 28 cats were removed from a place that was deemed completely unsuitable for animal habitat in Patras.
According to thebest.gr, five baby kittens, approximately two months old, were found among them, while the bones of a dead cat were also found in the same place.
Most of the cats are young, friendly towards humans and seem to have maintained a basic level of care, thanks to periodic interventions.
All animals will undergo a veterinary check-up and will be sterilized.
The Panhellenic Animal Welfare Federation (PFPO), in a subsequent announcement, appealed to citizens to support the volunteers of Patras, either through hosting or adoption, in order to ensure a safe and loving environment for the cats.
