Boy of 3 dies after falling from 2 meter fence

A three-year-old boy tragically lost his life in the Agios Nikolaos Spata area in western Achaia.
Specifically, the child was seriously injured after falling from a fence approximately two meters high and was rushed to the Karamandaneio Hospital of Patras with serious head injuries.
Despite the efforts of doctors, who performed CPR on him for 40 minutes, the 3-year-old passed away shortly before 8 pm on Tuesday night (11/11), from cardiac arrest.
The 25-year-old and the child fell from a height of two meters
According to information, the 3-year-old was playing with his 25-year-old uncle, who was also injured during the fall. In fact, as thebest reports, the 25-year-old was holding the child in his arms when he fell from a height of two meters.
The boy's uncle was also injured in the fall and is being treated under guard at the "Agios Andreas" hospital. The authorities proceeded to arrest him, while a case of manslaughter by negligence was filed against him.
At the time of the accident, the boy's family was in a nearby field doing agricultural work.

The parents and relatives of the family arrived at Karamandaneio, who, upon hearing of the boy's death, broke down.
As for the parents, in their sworn statements they did not request criminal prosecution of the 25-year-old, nor of any other person.
Regarding the verification of the circumstances of the infant's fatal injury, investigations by the police of the Western Achaia department are underway, while the results of the forensic examination are also awaited.
