- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
An incident involving police officers and shooting occurred shortly after 8 pm in Agios Dimitrios.
According to information from protothema.gr, it all happened when an unknown person called the authorities and reported that a burglary was in progress at a house in the Agios Dimitrios area.
Police officers from the DIAS team immediately rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, they saw the perpetrators leaving the scene. In their haste, the perpetrators quickly got into a vehicle and, in their attempt to escape, collided with two DIAS motorcycles, resulting in the minor injury of three police officers.
At that time, the police officers shot three times at the tires of the vehicle, but the perpetrators managed to escape. Searches followed and, shortly afterwards, the vehicle was located in Daphne.
The perpetrators, probably four Roma people, are being sought.
