As revealed by interior minister Yannis Michelakis talking to "Vima FM,” incompatibility concerns an internal process for the New Democracy party rather than the rule for all parties.

Asked to comment on the nomination of Yannis Sgouros, the incumbent Attica district governor, of whom many members of New Democracy have spoken in positive terms, noted that he thought Yannis Sgouros was not good prefect, but hastened to explain that it was his personal opinion.
