Traffic Police raids the home of a social media star - Motorcycle seized
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Fights, scuffles, dangerous driving and tensions on the road with other careless drivers were included in the videos uploaded to social media by a large-displacement motorcycle driver, which apparently aroused the interest of the Greek Police.
According to exclusive information from Carandmotor.gr, the aspiring motorcycle driver was arrested at his place of residence, while during the OEPTA operation he himself did not believe that the police would confiscate his vehicle, reacting in an inappropriate manner. However, as soon as the police turned on the lights of the patrol cars and the sirens sounded, the aspiring driver of the large-displacement motorcycle apparently changed his behavior, but it was too late.
The videos posted by the aspiring motorcycle rider start with some other careless car drivers, who apparently were indifferent to the two-wheeled riders.
In one video, a luxury SUV is seen pulling out of the parking lot and blocking the road for the motorcyclist, resulting in his intense reaction. In the next video, a driver in a multi-purpose car is seen crossing a boulevard vertically without, of course, having seen the motorcycle rider, who makes his presence felt by pressing the gas pedal very strongly, causing the exhaust to make a loud noise. In fact, in one of the cases, the rider in question is seen pushing the toll bar of the Attica Expressway without, of course, paying the toll.
The third video in a row that the aspiring motorcycle rider has posted involves another motorcycle rider, this time stopping his infiltration between stopped cars. However, in this video the aspiring motorcyclist reacts with complete calm, apparently because the other rider is also riding a motorcycle.
Subsequently, the videos posted by the would-be driver of the large-displacement motorcycle begin to be of particular interest to the Traffic Police as it is clearly visible that the motorcycle is moving at excessive speed on the national road network, while the short "films" continue with many interruptions in the urban fabric both during the day and at night.
The Hellenic Police, after a thorough check of the motorcyclist's posts, managed to confirm his identity and on Thursday evening a special team of the Hellenic Police went to his place of residence where they confiscated the motorcycle.
In addition to the immobilisation of the large-displacement motorcycle, the would-be driver has also been faced with heavy fines that include speeding, dangerous driving, etc.
Specifically, we will mention that the fine for "contrary" or speeding more than 200 km/h is 2,000 euros and license suspension for 1 year, while the fine for dangerous driving is 1,000 euros, license suspension for one year and imprisonment for up to two years.
As for the future of the high-displacement motorcycle seized by the ELAS, it will be decided whether the seizure will be temporary or permanent with confiscation at auction after prosecutorial approval and a court decision.
