Greek Dream Island for 10M Euros
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The intention to not sell the private owned island Spalathronisi for under 10 million euros is the inviolable term laid out by the Filippidis family that owns it.
In this vein the owners turned down an offer of 8.5 million tendered to mediators "Myro Antiques House," according to Stavros Myronidis owner of the auction house, who mentioned that eight bids had been tendered by Greek and foreign interested parties.
Mr. Myronidis added that there was still a "buy it now option" for 15 million, without an auction. The auction has now been moved to a future date so that all interested parties may bid.
Spalathronisi lies 500 meters off the coast of Neos Marmaras, Chalkidiki, in the Toronaios Gulf of the Sithonia peninsula. The island's area is a little over103,000 square meters and the owner has the right to build tourist facilities of 8,000 square meters area, or a personal domicile not exceeding 380 square meters.
