PASOK Discusses Olive Tree Predicament

Venizelos stated following a Maximos Mansion meeting with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, "The government relies on cooperation...Without [PASOK] there is no government".  Recently, PASOK's leader has expressed his concern, regarding Olive Tree's challenges in gaining a concrete level of electorial support. Yesterday he hinted that if the alliance generated less than 10% of all votes, PASOK will face severe challenges.

Yesterday evening, Alternate Labor Minister Leonidas Grigorakos told Olive Tree advocates that the nation could experience "the same consequences as Ukraine or North African countries". Venizelos has claimed that he is not trying to worry voters, while Olive Tree remains under 7% in opinion polls.

The PASOK premier commented, "I am describing reality in a way that is honest and sensitive toward democracy," he said. "Is it possible that the description of reality in terms of democratic honesty can be perceived as blackmail? Have we lost our minds?"
