Government Plans New Role Assignments Monday
The Greek governmental coalition is predicted to reassemble this Monday, that includes a new General Secretary for Public Revenues post, as a result of Haris Theoharis' abrupt resignation.
Yesterday Prime Minister Antonis Samaras held meetings with previous former Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, who is rumored to fill the empty tax position. This marks the first time in two years that the two delegates have met.
As reported by Kathimerini, it has been reported that Defense Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos, State Minister Dimitris Stamatis, Tourism Minister Olga Kefaloyianni, Infrastructure Minister Michalis Chrysochoidis, Environment Minister Yiannis Maniatis, Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis will remain in their present roles or acquire a new one on Monday.
SYRIZA spokesman Panos Skourletis discredited the current government and Samaras, regarding Theoharis' position, "He could not tear up the memorandums, so he tore up Theoharis", as reported by Kathimerini.
The former Public Revenue leader has claimed that he made no mistakes in his past role, "I did my job better than anyone else has during the last few decades and better than anyone could have done under the circumstances".
