Greece's Largest Drug Bust Ever Cracked

Eleven associated criminals were arrested, during a bust by the Hellenic coast guard, police force and the American Drug Enforcement Administration.

Hidden inside 443 plastic bundles, the massive drug content was located in two warehouses, located in Koropi and Filothei. The drug dealers were made up of six Greek citizens and five foreign individuals, who are now behind bars.  According to Kathimerini, one of the felons was a prominent shipping businessman, who was involved along with his wife and 15-year-old son.

The massive heroin content is thought to have entered Greece from Turkey, before it was distributed in the European and Hellenic market. In Greece, the street value of one gram of heroin is approximated at 30 to 60 euros depending on its quality.
