Heroin Case Arrests Fourteen New Suspects
Tuesday and Wednesday will bring fourteen suspected heroin distributors before a magistrate, after being found guilty of leading a criminal drug ring.
The criminals were charged yesterday by a Piraeus prosecutor, after being arrested at a Koropi warehouse. The fourteen felons involved include the eleven Noor One Togo-flagged tanker crew, that is considered to have carried the narcotics to Greece. It is thought that they arrived via Oman and Pakistan, as reported by a Coast Guard delegate to the Associated Press.
The remaining felons are a female employee of the Noor One ship, a male drug transporter, and an Iranian who served as the warehouse's guard. Twelve additional convicts have been arrested that are involved in Greece's largest drug activity to date.
