SYRIZA Spokesman Pens National Council for Radio & Television Letter
Today, SYRIZA spokesman Panos Skourletis penned a letter to the National Council for Radio and Television (ESR) regarding the newly passed Parliamentary media law.
In his text the spokesman stated, "with only a few exceptions, television stations and news radios broadcasting nationally did not cover the new law on the mass media", as reported by ANA-MPA.
Skourletis claimed that the Athens' Journalist Union (ESIEA) wrote a comparable letter last Friday, that focused on, "the specific issue was downgraded despite its importance and the intense criticism". The SYRIZA spokesman also referenced a related party announcement, which he claimed was not acknowledged by mass media.
