Tsipras lauds Greek diaspora for "warm welcome" to the US
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
His warmest thanks to the Greek community both for the reception accorded to him and the fact that they maintain the traditions and history of our country, expressed Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, departing from the US.
"Many, crucial, but particularly fruitful and constructive, were our contacts in Chicago and Washington these days that the Greek delegation was in the US as part of our official visit. I could not, however, but single out the contacts with our Diaspora Greeks living in the US, maintaining for years and in every way, principles, values, traditions, and the history of our country," wrote the Prime Minister on twitter.
"I, personally, and the Greek delegation, thank you for the warm welcome, but especially for your contribution to our homeland," notes Tsipras.
