Israel: The 26-year-old son of a famous neurologist from Thessaloniki was killed in the terrorist attack

A 26-year-old Greek man is among the dead in the terrorist attack in Tel Aviv last night.
The unfortunate man died yesterday in the Jaffa district of Tel Aviv, at a tram station, when terrorists attacked passers-by with a gun and a knife. One of the attackers was shooting at civilians and the other attacked them with a knife, injuring at least 10 people. Today the international media are talking about at least 7 dead.
This is Ionas Karousis and he is the son of the well-known professor of Neurology, Dimitris Karousis, who is a senior Consulting Neurologist at Hadassah, president of the Israeli Society of Neuroimmunology and director of the Multiple Sclerosis Center in Jerusalem.
Foreign Ministry statement
The Foreign Ministry condemned on Wednesday the terrorist attack in Tel Aviv's Jaffa district.
"We unequivocally condemn yesterday's terrorist attack in Tel Aviv's Jaffa district," the foreign ministry said in a statement.
"We announce with deep sadness that among the victims of the attack is a Greek citizen, a resident of Jerusalem," the ministry added and concluded: "We express our sincere condolences to the family and relatives of the victim".
