The Phanar honored the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council

On Sunday, 01.06.2025, the criminologist and Archon of the Great Church of Christ Sakis Kechagioglou went to the Phanar to attend the Patriarchal and Synodal Divine Liturgy, for the 1700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council, which was convened in Nicaea of Bithynia in 325 AD.
The Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Holiness, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, with the participation of 10 Hierarchs of the Ecumenical Throne. The Hierarchs who attended the service were: Venerable Elder of Chalcedon Mr. Emmanuel, Elder of Derkon Mr. Apostolos, the Commissioner of the Holy Sepulchre in Constantinople, Archbishop Anthidonos. Nektarios, as well as other Hierarchs.
After the Divine Liturgy, a reception followed in the Throne Room.
