President of the Greek community of Caracas: We were given instructions 5 months ago - We also have an escape plan

Residents of Caracas describe the dramatic hours they experienced in the early hours of the morning when the loud explosions were heard.
According to what the President of the Greek community of Caracas, Thodoris Marangelis, described to SKAI, instructions had been given to the entire population, some time ago, on what to do when such an attack occurred.
Instructions had been given to the population for months
"There is no one at all, we are all locked in our homes. It's as if we were expecting it but when and when, we have now been dealing with this issue for 4-5 months. It was a quarter to two in the morning, we started hearing bombings, they hit specific points and we heard that they were arresting the president and his wife," he initially stated.
“We were concerned that no mistake would be made, but we knew it and expected it, and given the situation we had, we said we should have supplies at home for 15-20 days in case something happened,” he added.
Calmness and an escape plan
“Some of us are worried, but we also have support from our charge d’affaires and we have made some preparations. If necessary, we will implement them, but the Greeks here are fine, we are calm. If we get to the point where we are forced to leave, we will discuss it, but for now, there is no need,” he stressed.
It is noted that supermarkets in Caracas are only allowing a few customers in at a time, to avoid overcrowding, while pharmacies and gas stations remain closed.
