Antetokounmpo's message to many recipients: Praying for my downfall doesn't make you religious

Featured Antetokounmpo's message to many recipients: Praying for my downfall doesn't make you religious

Giannis Antetokounmpo made a widely shared post early Sunday morning.

Posting two photos from his recovery, as he has been out of action since March 16th when he injured his knee, Giannis Antetokounmpo wrote in his social media post:

“Praying for my fall doesn’t make you religious.”

This post comes after the apparent feud between the Greek Freak and the Milwaukee Bucks, who asked him not to play again this season after his latest injury, and the Greek NBA superstar disagreed.

In this controversy, the NBA Players Association also took a position, emphasizing that the league has issued a regulation that obliges teams not to rest their players without reason, in order to protect the spectacle and credibility of the championship, however, these rules are meaningless if they are not applied correctly.

This was followed by the statement "either he will renew or we will trade him" by the owner of the Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Giannis Antetokounmpo has a contract for the 2026-27 season, which provides that he will receive 58,456,566 dollars. After that, he will have to decide together with the team about his future, with the Bucks, however, retaining the right to trade.

In the comments on Giannis' post, everyone sided with him, writing, among other things, "tell them," "the same thing happened with Kobe Bryant, don't back down," "you will always be the best," "you will forever be the GOAT."
