Olympiacos wins Europa Conference League - Greece rejoices

Olympiacos won a historic first European trophy for the club and for Greek football in the final of the Europa Conference League in Athens on Wednesday night, playing against Italy's Fiorentina.
The game started 22:00 and the Piraeus-based team seemed locked into 0-0 with Fiorentina, before overturning the score in a play that kept fans at the edge of their seats, and ending up deefating the visiting team by 1-0.
The headbutt by Ayoub El Kaabi at 116' gave Olympiacos its first European title and the first of a Greek team in the history of UEFA games, with David Carmo making an unexpected save at 120' on a close-range cross from Jonathan Ikone.
Fans in droves headed for the teams HQ at Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus to celebrate the victory. Huge crowds gathered in squares in all towns and villages across the country.
