Austrian leaders who traveled to Greece this season include Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurt and Minister of Culture Joseph Ostermagier. The news portal stated, "This year Greece was the leading destination for Austrians, the ultimate number one for those who are attracted by the sea".
An analysis by Europ Assistance Group found that 68% of Austrians vacationed this season, in comparison to the study's same summer timeframe last year, which held a 57% rate. Two-thirds of Austrian travelers selected coastal locations rather than mountainous regions.
