Increasing Number of Australians Visit Greece
Consolidated World Travel has determined that an increasing number of Australians are choosing Greece as their holiday destination.
The travel agency and airplane ticket wholesaler recorded almost a 10% rise last year, with a continued increase this year. Consolidated World Travel owner Spiros Alysandratos claimed that nearly 130,000 Australians visited Greece last year, which marks a 9.6% increase, as reported by Neos Kosmos.
Travel industry statistics show that Australians spend at least twelve days in Greece and spend about 1,420 euros during their stay. Canadians trail behind them at 1,207 euros in spending, while Americans spend 1,098 euros and Russians use 1,005 euros.
