Lesvos is set to host more than 1,000 women from all around the globe, during the International Eressos Women's Festival 2014, between September 6th through the 20th.
The two-week festival is in its 14th year and honors female culture, history, strides and diversity. It is being held in the LGBT friendly environment of Skala Eressos.
The International Festival was established by Sappho Travel, and describes it as: "All women are welcome, included and celebrated here, regardless of their race, age, interests, or sexuality", as stated on the event's website.
The Festival offers dancing, music, outdoor movies, exhibitions, coastal sports, workshops, a fashion show and more. Lesvos has historically been a hotspot for lesbian vacationers since the 1970's, in connection with Greek lesbian poet Sappho.
