Civil Aviation Union Cancels Strike
Yesterday, Greece's OSYPA Civil Aviation Authority Union confirmed that it had cancelled its scheduled 48-hour strike for Monday and Tuesday.
The union stated that it halted the protest: "...because it is not our intention to cause trouble for local communities hoping to make a living from tourism nor to passengers, the national economy and the country's image", as reported by ANA-MPA.
OSYPA did claim that civil aviation leaders have not been trying to alleviate the challenges plaguing the sector. The union declared that it will file Supreme Court charges against the Minister and others accountable for, "...the continued deterioration of the service and everything this means for flight safety".
