Jewish divorce sting operation including rabbis raided by police
- Written by New Greek TV Staff
Translation By Lisa Darilis
Four men were arrested, two of whom were Rabbis, in New York for abducting and torturing Orthodox Jewish men in order to force them to grant their wives a religious divorce.
Evidence has been revealed that Jewish Orthodox women were paying the suspects, who were part of a divorce "shakedown" ring, to force their husbands to agree to a divorce on their terms. There are dozens more suspected in being involved in this ring, but that number may change as investigations continue.
It has been recorded up until now, that these "shakedowns" took place in the Brooklyn borough of New York, as well as in New Jersey.
