Bronx Narcotics Day Care Busted
A long-running major narcotics investigation has led to further arrests today, which New York law enforcers have been hoping for.
The drug ring was being operated out of a Bronx day care center. WCBS 880 reported today that Juan Valdez, who heads the major drug dealing enterprise has been arrested, among others.
Valdez is being charged of trafficking enormous amounts of oxycodone and cocaine into New York from Puerto Rico, via the U.S. Postal Service. In September 2013, law enforcement officials arrested Fun World Childcare owners in a related case, who used the daycare for a drug cover. Valdez was seized at Sweet Home Day Care. In the last five years, officials have extracted $1.4 million dollars worth of cocaine in the criminal's massive drug grid.
The drug dealer has been charged with the possession and sale of controlled substances, weapons possession, conspiracy, money laundering, and more. Ada Padilla and Juan Bernal were also arrested at the same time.
The Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor confirmed that an ongoing wiretap examination, affirmed Juan Valdez's daily narcotics operating enterprise. The drug ring hid narcotics inside SpongeBob SquarePants linens.
