Cypriot President Anastasiades Admitted & Released From Brussels Hospital

Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades has been released from the hospital in Brussels, after arriving this morning.

Anastasiades is in the capital of Belgium this week to attend European Council meetings, along with other high-profile discussions, including talks centering on Turkey's EEZ violations in the Republic of Cyprus.

Cypriot Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides offered a written statement concerning the medical visit, which confirmed that Anastasiades was received at the hospital due to a lengthy nosebleed. Hospital testing revealed that his condition was due to high blood pressure.

The Cypriot President was treated and told to stay in bed for the following forty-eight hours, and will remain under a Brussels physician's watch. The Government Spokesman stated that Anastasiades is resting in his hotel, according to CNA.
