Fotiou described, "Our first aim is to sign a Memorandum of Understanding among us, so that we can work together in promoting common goals," according to CNA and reported by Parikiaki.

The Cypriot Commissioner for Human Rights and Nationals Living Abroad commented during his stay in Athens, where he held meetings with delegates from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with Greek student organizations and Cypriot expatriate members.

When asked by CNA when these efforts will start, Fotiou stated, "we are still in preliminary stages...good relations among the three governments make us optimistic that we will soon work together on this issue as well...it is well known how powerful, influential and experienced the Israeli expatriate organizations are abroad."

The Cypriot Commissioner for Human Rights closed with, "There are many issues concerning our three countries that could be promoted and supported by the combined voices of our powerful expatriate organizations all over the world."
