The Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, General Dimitrios Houpis, paid a visit to Israel, where he met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Armed Forces (IDF), Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir.
The visit took place within the framework of military cooperation between the two countries, with the National Defense General Staff highlighting the strategic importance of the relationship that has developed between Greece and Israel.
The two countries, as stated in the announcement, remain committed to the further development of bilateral cooperation, with the aim of addressing common challenges and strengthening stability in the wider region.

During his stay in Israel, Dimitrios Houpis also had a meeting with the Ambassador of Greece to Israel, Maya Solomou.

The Chief of the Hellenic National Defense Staff was accompanied on his visit by the Greek Defense Attaché in Israel and a high-ranking delegation of officers from the Hellenic National Defense Staff.

"The Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, General Dimitrios Houpis, paid a visit to Israel, during which he met with the Chief of the General Staff of the Israeli Armed Forces (IDF), Lieutenant General Eyal ZAMIR.
The visit highlights the strategic importance and particular importance of the already established military relationship between Greece and Israel. This relationship steadily strengthens the long-standing ties between the two countries, which remain committed to promoting bilateral cooperation to address common challenges and to strengthening stability in the wider region.
During his stay in Israel, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff also met with the Ambassador of Greece to Israel, Mrs. Maya Solomou, the Director General of the Ministry of Defence of Israel, Major General (retd.) Mr. Amir BARAM, and the Director of the International Defence Cooperation of the Ministry of Defence of Israel, Brigadier General (retd) Mr. Yair KULAS.
The Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff was accompanied by the Greek Military Attache in Israel, as well as a high-ranking delegation of Officers of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff.
