Cyprus Cautions Over Possible New Russian Sanction
Cyprus does not agree with an EU claim regarding Ukraine, that warns of the possibility of new sanctions on Russia, as stated by Cypriot Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides.
Cyprus follows Greece in its stance on the statement, while it has been reported that other nations have also voiced their objection. The Spokesman commented, "Because of objections raised by many member countries, the statement is not expected to be adopted by the foreign ministers tomorrow," according to Xinhua.
Christodoulides added, "Cyprus has also made its dissent known and expressed dissatisfaction about both the procedure followed and the content of the statement issued by European Council President Donald Tusk."
