- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Prime minister Antonis Samaras will be visiting Malta and Italy on Monday, 21 October, in the framework of an initiative regarding illegal immigration. The visit will also encompass issues pertaining to the assumption of the EU presidency by Greece in January 2014.
The Greek premier will meet his Maltese and Italian counterparts Joseph Muscat and Enrico Letta, respectively, with discussion focusing on drfating an explicit and clear European policy on illegal immigration, with emphasis, however, on the countries of the South which are facing the biggest problems.
Samaras will be accompanied by Public Order and Citizen Protection Minister Nikos Dendias.
Because of the trip the prime minister's scheduled interview on Monday with MEGA TV channel's "Anatropi" program has been postponed for Monday November 4.
